Foundation Scripture: Ephesians 6:18 / 1 Peter 4:7

When we talk about church prayer, so often we are referring to meetings in structures built of stone where members meet once a week to pray. And certainly, we should desire productive prayer meetings in our church buildings, however, our primary goal here at Strong Faith Bible Church is to help believers develop fruitful prayer lives in their personal walk with the Lord. And to help them focus on the fact that, God's house is one made of flesh and blood, built with living stones, and it includes every member of the Body of Christ (1 Cor. 3:16; 1 Peter 2:5).

Under the New Covenant God has given a new life and a new way to live. He tells us in Ephesians 6:18 and in 1 Peter 4:7 that prayer is the way of life for the believer.

18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;...                                   (Ephesians 6:18).

7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye, therefore, sober and WATCH UNTO PRAYER.

(1 Peter 4:7)

And learning to pray effectively is one of the most important things a believer can ever do in their Christian walk. Really, a believer cannot be a success in fulfilling God’s purpose in his life if he does not know how to pray according to biblical principles. Thus, our mandate is not to develop prayer programs, but to initiate programs in the local church that develops prayer warriors, because a prayerless church is a powerless church.
